BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden beams over step towards dance return after cancer update

Amy Dowden was seen beaming as she made another step towards returning to the dancefloor. The Strictly Come Dancing star was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year and underwent a mastectomy before eight rounds of chemotherapy treatment.
After doctors changed her course of treatment upon doctors finding another type of cancer, it meat that she wasn't able to make a swift return to the BBC One dance contest like she had hoped. Despite the setback,
Amy bravely faced eight rounds of chemo and multiple complications before ringing the bell to signal the end of her treatment. And last week, the Welsh star told her Instagram followers on Friday (February 23) that there was now 'no evidence of disease' and that it was 'time to look ahead'.

Talking about her recent news, Amy said on ITV's Lorraine, as it was revealed she was joining the team as a celebrity reporter: "I can’t stop smiling. I’ve had a lot of bone pain in my shoulder and I do have impingement there, but at least it’s not cancer. I was so worried that it had spread to the bones. I’ve got this spring in my step, a smile on my face."
Now, Amy appears to have made a huge step towards returning to Strictly as she took to social media to share her latest update. She could be seen in a selfie alongside her physio that was posted to physio2u's Instagram Story.
