Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has recalled the moment she nearly died after she developed sepsis during her cancer battle.
Amy, 33, was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May last year and underwent months of grueling treatment. Last month, she shared the happiest news of her life as she announced to the world that there was 'no evidence of disease'.
However, during her first bout of chemotherapy, her body went into septic shock. Speaking to Andy Coulson's Crisis What Crisis? podcast, Amy said she fell unconscious and was close to dying due to the severe infection, reports the Mirror.

She had been rushed to hospital after collapsing at home - and despite her husband Ben and her parents had been assured by doctors that she would be able to return home - Amy's condition deteriorated the following day after she developed sepsis.
Speaking on the podcast Amy said: "My parents went into meltdown mode, Ben went into protection mode of them, and when they got to the hospital I wasn't in the room. I was having an emergency CT scan and my mum had to walk away."
Amy, a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, continued: "My husband said that he'd said my heart rate and my blood pressure was so low that I probably wouldn't function more than sixteen hours, my organs would go into failure. They felt I'd gone into septic shock." However, Amy started to respond to a new batch of antibiotics but recalled how difficult it was to see the trauma on the faces of her parents.
She explained: "I saw the pain in my parents' eyes, and I don't think they've been the same since. It was so tough for them to have watched that, especially after what we'd been
