BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden shares worrying hospital snap saying week 'didn't go to plan'

Amy Dowden has revealed to fans that she was admitted to the hospital again saying last week 'didn't go to plan' for her. The Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media on Monday (February 19) with a string of worrying hospital snaps.
The dancer has been keeping her fans up to date with her health since she shared she had stage three breast cancer in May last year and shared the news the following month after undergoing a mastectomy and reconstruction.
She later documented her chemotherapy treatment after the planned course of action changed once doctors found another type of cancer, meaning she wouldn't be able to make a swift return to the BBC One dance contest as she had hoped.

Despite the setback, Amy bravely faced eight rounds of chemo and multiple complications before ringing the bell to signal the end of her treatment. But she later faced more concerning hospital visits, particularly after fracturing her foot ruling her out of her beloved dance for a while longer.
After taking a much-needed break with her husband Ben Jones, which was featured on ITV's Lorraine, Amy was getting back into the swing of her life and continued hospital appointments when she was struck by a fresh setback.
On Monday, sharing a snap from a hospital bed showing her using an oxygen mask, Amy said: "So last week didn't exactly go to plan! Feeling much better now and still taking it easy. But can't thank the NHS and the care I received on the respiratory unit enough!"
