BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Angela Rippon wishes well as she leaves UK weeks after 'major medical meltdown'

Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon has headed off on a well-deserved break after her dancing journey came to an end following a 'major medical meltdown'. The legendary broadcaster wowed audiences during the BBC One dance contest last year with pro partner Kai Widdrington.
The 79-year-old - and her exceptionally long and toned legs - made it all the way to Blackpool week before she and Kai were eliminated. However, that wasn't the end of their time together as they later teamed up for the show's live tour at the start of the year.
The pair joined a number of their co-stars from the 2023 series - including finalists Ellie Leach, Vito Coppola, Layton Williams, Nikita Kuzmin, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell - as they performed in arenas up and down the country across three weeks.

The epic tour, which was hosted by Janette Manrara and featured judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood, came to an end earlier this month and a few weeks on and it appears Angela has finally been able to fit in some R&R.
Taking to Instagram, the Ripp Off Britain star revealed she'd ditched the UK and as she posed for a sunshine snap next to the beach with a cocktail in hand. Captioning the post she wrote: "Lunch on the beach in Oman. Chilling out in the sun after seven months on Strictly."
And her Strictly co-stars were still among the first to respond. Katya Jones said: "Enjoy Angela!!" Angela Scanlon commented: "Have the best time lovely." Ellie Leach replied: "gorgeous range."
But her fans and followers also wanted to wish her a happy
