Strictly Come Dancing star Kai Widdrington has shared his own heartbreaking memory of Robin Windsor following his tragic death. It was confirmed on Tuesday (February 20) that the dancer had tragically died, aged 44, ten years after he had to leave the BBC One show over a back problem.
Robin joined Strictly in 2010 and in his first year was paired with EastEnders star Patsy Kensit. But he had to leave four years later due to an injury. The closest he got to winning was coming with Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley in 2012, with the popular pairing finishing in fifth place.
Other partners included actress Anita Dobson and Dragons' Den's Deborah Meaden. He also took part in various Christmas and charity specials with the likes of ITV stars Susanna Reid and Alison Hammond. The star most recently appeared in stage show Come What May, a tribute to Moulin Rouge.

A statement from Sisco Entertainment, which represented him in various areas of theatre and corporate entertainment, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Tuesday (February 20) with a statement which said: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved friend, Robin Windsor.
"Robin’s presence in Come What May was more than just a performance; it was an embodiment of passion, grace and sheer talent. His extraordinary ability to express emotion through movement captivated audiences, leaving them spellbound with every step.
