Strictly faces another 'fix' row as Angela Scanlon is found to be 'trained dancer'

Angela Scanlon has performed all over the world with the O'Shea Irish Dance Company it's been revealed, which raises the question: does she have an advantage in this year's Strictly Come Dancing? BBC One's golden goose is set to return to our screens very soon, with the likes of Angela Rippon, Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Adam Thomas, Zara McDermott, Eddie Kadi and Nikita Kanda all confirmed to be competing in the ballroom competition as well. Layton, 28, whose role as Stephen Carmichael in Bad Education catapulted him to TV fame, isn't without some invaluable dance experience either, having appeared in hit musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Billy Elliot across his career.
Quick to point out her own inexperience with Latin and Ballroom disciplines, though, as Strictly 'fix' claims inevitably do the rounds, TV presenter Angela, 39, said: "I've never done any of these dances in my life, bar a drunken jive at a family wedding. So, it certainly feels like there is room to learn and to really push myself.
"Look, I'm not particularly fit. I've no idea how my pelvic floor is going to react to that level of jumping!" Stopping by the BBC Radio 2 studios this week, where her Strictly casting was first announced, she went on to comment: "It's been kind of in the ether for a number of years and we've been close.
But we wanted to have another baby so then we were trying to have a baby, and then I was then pregnant, then I had a very small child, and now it just felt right this year. I believe in feelings and timing and all of those sorts of things.
"I’m terrified, I’m excited and I have so many questions. Will they make me tan? How itchy are sequins?! Do they do flesh-coloured sports bras?" she
