Second suspect named after horror shooting in Manchester

A second person has been charged in relation with a suspected shooting in Ardwick.
The incident happened on Stockport Road, near the O2 Apollo, at around 3pm on December 21. Detectives said "a firearm was discharged" at a member of the public's car.
Anthony Leigh, 23, of Plymouth Grove, Manchester, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of a bladed article. In an update issued today (January 11), police said another male has since been charged in connection with the incident.

Baraskos Shaw, 18, of Richmond Grove East, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon. He has since been bailed to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on February 14.
A man - aged in his 30s - was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the probe. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed.
Police previously appealed to members of the public for information about a blue Mercedes 4x4. They released an image of the car, with no number plate, and urged anyone with information on it to get in touch.
The car was found abandoned on Clee Avenue in Longsight. Detectives are continuing to 'work tirelessly' to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident.
