And, speaking exclusively to OK!, the doting mum-of-five has opened up about one topic which has concerned her about her youngest daughter, DJ. The 9 year old, Kerry’s child with her late ex George Kay, seems to have a penchant for make-up and skincare - and it’s not something the star is particularly thrilled about.
During a recent trip to Manchester’s Trafford Centre with her fiance, Ryan Maloney - who she recently told OK! she doubts she will have a biological child with - and her youngest for some ‘quality time’ together, Kerry, 43, revealed that DJ showed alot of interest in the beauty counters. It's something she wasn’t at all interested in, she says, at DJ’s tender age. “While we were shopping, I was gobsmacked by how many young girls the same age as DJ were gathering around the skincare counters in Boots.
It’s crazy!”, Kerry said. “I don’t think I even knew what skincare was when I was nine years old. I know it’s a generational thing, but expensive skin products really are an obsession with kids at the moment.
The thing is, they’re not at the age where they’ve hit puberty – they don’t need all these lotions yet.” She added: “DJ wanted to try on make-up, which I’m not happy about because I think she’s too young.
But it was only a little bit and she really loves it.” Kerry certainly still sees DJ as her baby - and it seems DJ herself isn't too keen on the idea of getting older. Last March, Kerry revealed that her daughter had an existential crisis over turning nine the following month. She shared a story where she said DJ had had a 'nervous breakdown' as she realised she would have to do more things for herself as she grew up.
