Kym Marsh has told fans she's 'back' after taking time off work following her dad's heartbreaking death. The Waterloo Road star and Morning Live presenter's family issued a statement last month confirming David Marsh's death, aged 78, after sharing his prostrate cancer journey.
David, known as Dave, made multiple appearances with his daughter and doting wife Pauline on BBC show Morning Live, on which Kym is one of the co-hosts, after he wanted to make others aware of the symptoms and to seek medical help following his prostate cancer diagnosis in 2021.
In November 2023, her parents appeared on the BBC One morning programme to provide an update with Kym, 47, saying they were living "day by day" as her father’s cancer had spread into his bones. Kym and her family then confirmed on January 12 confirming Dave's death before later laying him to rest in a private funeral.

Kym has since taken a break from her work commitments but made a return to Morning Live on Thursday (February 22) to discuss the news that families in England who've experienced the loss of a baby before 24 weeks of pregnancy will now be able to apply for a certificate to formally recognise their child existed, like Kym who suffered the tragic loss of her own son, Archie.
After speaking about the new legislation with Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones, Kym headed out and shared a selfie from the car as she said: "Back to workkkk!" alongside two blue love hearts.
