Kate Garraway opens up over Ben Shephard quitting GMB as he leaves her side after 24 years

Kate Garraway has opened up and shared some lovely words for her dear friend Ben Shephard, as he says goodbye to Good Morning Britain. Ben, 49, told everyone on Friday, February 16, that he's going to be taking on a new role as a permanent host on This Morning alongside Cat Deeley.
Kate and Ben have been working side by side for 24 years, and Kate has now expressed her congratulations to her co-host ahead of his new venture. Sharing a photo of her and Ben, and another one with Cat Deeley, Kate penned: "Massive congrats to @benshephardofficial on the @itv @thismorning gig.
You'll be SOOOOO missed by EVERYONE @gmb viewers and the team alike and of course especially me. BUT after 24 years hard labour by my side no one will begrudge you time off for good behaviour!!! Good luck swapping early starts for (abit) of a lie in and a Kate for a Cat! @catdeeley can't wait to see you - you'll have a ball." GMB fans flooded to the comments to say they'll miss seeing Kate and Ben together on weekday mornings.

After ITV announced that Ben and would become the new regular hosts of This Morning, replacing Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Ben shared his feelings on Instagram.
