Gladiators returns to our screens this Saturday (March 9) with its first semi-final. The hit sports entertainment show relaunched on the BBC back in January.
The programme, originally broadcast from 1992 to 2000, saw a set of 16 new 'superhumans' all eager to show off their speed and strength. Presenter Bradley Walsh and his son Barney front the 11-episode series, which has see the Gladiators take on contenders in new and old games, culminating with classic challenge The Eliminator.
Last Saturday's third quarter-final featured two more epic Eliminators. Heat one winner Kerry Wilson eased to victory over Betti Worth after earning a six-second head start in The Eliminator. In the last men's quarter-final of the series, heat five victor Dev Pankhania took on Ash Harwood, with the former defeating him to book his place in the semis.

Heat four men's winner Chung Leung cruised into the Eliminator after encountering the likes of Apollo, Phantom, Legend and Nitro in previous tasks. He then took 41-year-old Matt Jones to the cleaners to secure his place in the semi final. Viewers reckon it could be Chung who takes the Gladitors crown this season. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts.

Barney Walsh is probably best-known for working alongside his dad on TV.
