There were tears and cheers on The Chase when a player won £50,000 for her team but the joy didn't last very long. Bradley Walsh hosted another episode of the fun quiz show with four new players on Friday (March 8).
They all wanted to win some money, but Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace was ready to stop them. Sandra, the first player, got caught by Shaun right away, while second player Laurence did well and got £30,000 for the team, but then Marlon chose to go minus £5,000.
Kate was very brave and went for £50,000, even though Bradley said she shouldn't. She won the money and started crying as Bradley told her to get ready for the final chase, reports the Daily Star. Fans at home were thrileld for Kate, who made it to the final after getting only £2,000 at first.
Someone on social media cheered: "Big up Kate for that 50k, she better than marlon," while another person wrote: "Just shows this show is so much better when people back themselves instead of the cowards way out. Well done Kate, makes for a great and exciting final!" Someone else shared: "Bless you Kate. Marlon's disgraceful behaviour 1% of me wants yous to lose but for the other 2 I hope with the other 99% of me yous bring it home," as another viewer said: "Aww,Kate's crying already.
Would love them to win but we already had a win this week so unlikely. Fingers crossed though." Despite their excitement, the team struggled in the final game and only answered 15 questions right. When it was Shaun's turn, he got all his answers correct without any problem.
