Coronation Street fans have said they are 'pretty sure' they know what Joel Deering is really hiding after Alya Nazir shared her suspicions. The solicitor first appeared on the cobbles last year and his appearance in Weatherfield hasn't been brief as he soon caught the attention of Dee-Dee Bailey.
The pair have struck up a romance and during Monday night's (February 19) episode of the ITV soap, viewers saw Dee-Dee's friends and colleagues Alya and Adam Barlow teasing her about Joel after she found a receipt dated December for a jewellers.
It was revealed he'd spent hundreds of pounds in the shop but the receipt didn't specify what it was he had bought. As Alya and Adam couldn't help but tease whether he was planning to pop the question to Dee-Dee, Joel called at the solicitors to find the trio discussing the receipt.

Joel was quick to make out he bought himself some cufflinks. Alya joked about his expensive taste. and Dee-Dee quickly tried to tell her partner that she wasn't the one thinking he'd bought her an engagement ring. Later, as Alya headed out she spotted Joel in a car being driven by a sullen-looking woman, her suspicions mounted and she later told Adam she wasn't sure she believed Joel.
Over at the Bistro, Alya was witness to Dee-Dee and Joel's loved-up display but as they left for a cinema date, Alya shared her concerns with Toyah Habeeb who also confirmed she'd seen Joel in the Bistro when he had an angry confrontation with another woman.
