Coronation Street fans have come up with a few options as to who could be Lauren Bolton's mystery ex but there's one that they have said would be a 'twist'. The character, played by Cait Fitton, claimed to have a boyfriend and has been seen taking numerous secret phone calls with a mystery man since her return to Weatherfield.
But having never seen them together, Lauren's friends Max Turner and his girlfriend Sabrina Adetiba share their suspicions that her secret beau didn't even exist.
Last month, Max invited her for tea in return for letting him practice his hairdressing skills on her but when Sabrina, who also invited her brother Gav along, suggested she bring her boyfriend too, the smile on Lauren’s face soon disappeared.

Later, Lauren joined the trio and claimed her boyfriend couldn't come as he was working late. Soon after, Max and Sabrina watched on as Lauren enjoyed a drink while chatting to Gav. But when her phone pinged, Lauren said her boyfriend had messaged her and was wanting to meet up so she quickly left.
The move left Max, Sabrina and Gav questioning the identity of Lauren's mystery fella and as they pondered whether he actually exists, it wasn't long until Lauren told her friends that she and her boyfriend were over.
Lauren has since been seen getting cosy with newcomer Bobby and after the pair shared their first kiss, during Wednesday night's Corrie (February 14), a mystery man appeared at Lauren's door to surprise her on Valentine's Day and her surprise was written all over her face as her heart appeared to sink.
