Fans think Peter Ash may have 'manifested' his role on Coronation Street after he shared a throwback snap on social media. The actor joined the ITV soap as Paul Foreman in January 2019, when he arrived in Weatherfield looking for his sister, Gemma.
But that wasn't the character's first appearance. Paul was first introduced to Corrie viewers when he shared a prison cell with David Platt back in May 2018.
However, it wasn't his first TV role as Peter appeared in Footballers' Wives as soon as he finished his A-Levels aged 17, playing Darius Fry between 2003 and 2006, alongside fellow Corrie star Ben Price, who plays Nick Tilsley, as Conrad Gates.

Back to Corrie, however, and fans are regularly preparing themselves for Peter's exit as they watch him movingly tell Paul's story with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The show has been working with the MND Association to tell the story after Paul was diagnosed with the life-limiting illness, which doesn't yet have a cure, last year.
The storyline has sparked a huge reaction among Corrie fans and many are often left heartbroken at the thought of losing Paul - and actor Peter - from their screens. Offering them an update, the soap star took to Instagram in mid-January to share a snap of himself backstage at the Salford-based set.
Peter could be seen posing for the mirror selfie from his dressing room which he then shared with his followers and said: "First day back at work! Not finished Paul's story yet." And it didn't take long for his fans and followers to respond with messages in the comments section.
