Dramatic pictures show what appears to be a bullet hole in a window after gunshots were blasted at a house in Bolton. Residents heard 'four bangs' and 'commotion' shortly after midnight on Tuesday (February 27) on Yewdale Gardens, Breightmet.
Police descended on the scene at around 12am after receiving reports of a firearms discharge. Forensics also attended and the road was cordoned off amid investigations overnight.
Enquiries have since confirmed shots were fired, but that nobody was injured. A manhunt to find those responsible is now underway with investigations continuing.

The scene remained in place on the residential street throughout the day, with the upstairs window of a house seen with a bullet hole through it.
Local councillor Adele Warren told the Manchester Evening News: "When you hear of an incident like this, it is always extremely concerning and worrying for local residents. I am sure that GMP are doing all they can to investigate what has happened and hopefully they can provide some reassurance regarding this matter."
One Yewdale Gardens resident said they heard 'four bangs' and a 'commotion' on the street shortly before emergency services arrived at the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Greater Manchester Police were called to Yewdale Gardens in Breightmet, Bolton at around midnight on Tuesday 27 February 2024 to reports of a firearm discharge.
"Officers attended and following enquiries overnight have confirmed a firearms discharge did take place. A scene remains whilst an investigation continues. No arrests have been made but patrols have been increased to offer reassurance to the local community."
