Terrified neighbours watched on in horror as a masked gunman opened fire on a house in Bolton.
People living in Yewdale Gardens, in Breightmet, said they saw a man being 'chased' down their street before gunshots rang out shortly after midnight on Tuesday (February 27). Armed police descended on the residential street within minutes as a manhunt was launched to find the gunman.
One man living on the street said they saw a man being 'chased' by a balaclava-clad man on a e-bike shortly before the shooting. The man on the bike then ‘stopped outside the house and pulled a gun out’, recalled the man, who asked not to be named.

"There was somebody all in black on a black e-bike," they said. “He pulled up between two cars, shot twice and rode off.
"At first, I thought I was hearing things but the next thing, the police turned up. I didn’t sleep all night.”
Police descended on the scene at around 12am after receiving reports of a firearms discharge. Neighbours described hearing a "commotion" as the road was taped off overnight.
A helicopter was spotted circling overhead in the aftermath of the incident.
