A 13-year-old boy who was left seriously injured after an alleged 'stabbing' in Glasgow has been released from hospital.
The boy was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after he was found injured on Queen's Drive in the South Side of the city on Friday, March 8. It is understood that the teenger had left a nearby mosque moments before he was allegedly attacked.
A 17-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
Meanwhile, the schoolboy's family have since confirmed he has been released from hospital and is "recovering well" at home.
As reported in our sister title, Glasgow Live, his sister wrote online: "My brother is recovering well and quickly, all thanks to everyone's well wishes and prayers. I thank you all for your kind words.
"He is no longer in hospital and is in the safety of his home resting. Thank you again for all your kind support, sincerely from our family."
Detective Inspector Phillip Kennedy said: “I would like to thank the public for their assistance with our investigation into this incident.”
