Martin Boyle should be clear to face Rangers next weekend after getting the green light to return from the sickening head blow suffered last time out against the Ibrox side.
The Hibs ace was put in a neck brace and rushed to hospital after an aerial clash with John Souttar in the 2-0 Scottish Cup defeat at Easter Road two weeks ago. Concussion regulations ruled him out of the subsequent draw at Ross County and victory over Livingston last weekend.
But Boyle is now clear of symptoms and set to resume full training ahead of the trip to Ibrox on Saturday. It’s a huge boost to Nick Montgomery as Hibs look to cement a top six spot with Dundee breathing down their necks.
Montgomery said: “Martin is feeling a lot better. Most important is we've got him back in and we’ve managed him over a couple of days, and hopefully by next week we can get him back into full training.
“He doesn't need a bounce game to get him ready. He's had lots of games and lots of travel with the national team this year, so if anybody is going to benefit from a break it will be Martin.
“We're just looking forward to getting him back into training once he's been cleared of everything.”
Josh Campbell is set to hand Hibs a further boost ahead of the split too with the midfielder closing in on a return to full training after three months out with a broken ankle.
The 23-year-old was crocked in a freak collision with team-mate Dylan Levitt in December’s derby defeat to Hearts.
Montgomery said: “Josh will be back in full training next week. I think he'll need a bounce game but in terms of contact I think he'll get back into full contact next week.
“That will hopefully be us getting Josh back in the next couple of weeks which will be a big boost. It was a nasty one - it

Despite being an entertainer since his childhood, Steve Martin still doubts himself. "I always thought this just doesn’t happen, and it did," Martin says early in the AppleTV+ two-part documentary, "STEVE! (Martin) a documentary in 2 pieces." "I guarantee you I have no talent. None.
Addie Morfoot Contributor Unlike many celebrity-driven documentaries, Morgan Neville‘s “Steve! (Martin): A Documentary in Two Pieces” about the writer and comedian wasn’t deliberately made as a marketing device tied to a new TV series or movie. The two-part docu is also not your traditional career-encompassing overview of Martin’s life. Instead Neville, who garnered an Oscar in 2014 for “20 Feet From Stardom,” created feature-length installments called “Then” and “Now” that are told from two points of views using two different formats.

Peter Debruge Chief Film Critic Why does Steve Martin need a two-part documentary? He doesn’t, of course, although Martin himself divided his career into separate chapters, any one of which could support its own film — stand-up comedian, Hollywood movie star, playwright, novelist, bluegrass musician and most recently, “Only Murders in the Building” co-creator and star — so fans aren’t likely to complain about getting extra time with such a private subject. Normally, a documentarian with access to a celebrity of Martin’s caliber would pick a focus, or else try to generate some kind of career-encompassing overview.
