Amy Dowden has treated herself and husband Ben Jones to a relaxing spa day after feeling "really rough" recently.
The Strictly Come Dancing pro, 33, and Ben visited Hoar Cross Hall hotel in Staffordshire for an early Valentine's Day treat and shared some cute snaps of the day on Instagram. She captioned one snap: "After feeling really rough the last few days (nasty cough) thank you for a lovely spa day today Ben." One photo saw Amy sporting a dressing gown, as she revealed: "An early Valentine's treat as Wednesday is a hospital day for me." She also gave a glimpse of a stunning pool area lit up by blue lights, pouring more love on Ben saying: "It was the perfect day, thank you, Ben." Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, after she discovered a lump on her breast just days before her honeymoon.
The dancer was then forced to miss last year's Strictly Come Dancing, as she underwent chemotherapy.
During this time, Amy kept her followers updated on her cancer journey in the hopes that this would help others who have been facing similar battles. And since finishing chemo in November Amy has jetted off on a second honeymoon to Grenada with Ben, with the holiday being shared with viewers on the daytime TV show Lorraine.
During this segment, Amy opened up about fearing that her life would be taken from her as she discussed her cancer journey. She explained: "Last year I felt like I had my identity stripped away.
And you know, being a dancer on TV where you constantly wear sparkly dresses, hair and makeup and all the glamour. "And then all of a sudden I lost all my hair, and my identity completely changed.
