Tesco has warned shoppers only have a matter of weeks to use a popular feature in its supermarkets before a popular feature is axed for good. The change will be made effective in every Tesco store from April 18 - including large supermarkets, Tesco Express and Tesco Metro stores.
The change is set to impact millions of shoppers who currently use a Clubcard to reduce the cost of their shopping - a reduction which can be quite drastic with the right deals. On February 27, Tesco made the decision to axe its Pay+ app.
Now Tesco's Clubcard app, which many find useful as a means of keeping their loyalty card handy at all times, is getting the chop. From April 18, Tesco shoppers will no longer be able to use the Clubcard app.

From April 18, shoppers will need to download the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app instead. This will give all the Clubcard prices as well as vouchers.
The app will allow shoppers to collect Clubcard points and instantly turn them into vouchers, as well as create shopping lists, says the ECHO. Shoppers can check their local store with what’s in stock and turn them into vouchers.
Shoppers will still have access to their old points, coupons and vouchers. The Clubcard points will simply rollover to the new Grocery and Clubcard app. For those who don’t download the new app, their points will be available on their online account.
The new app is available to download on Android and Apple. Just download the app through the current Clubcard app and your account will automatically be moved. Download the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app for Apple and GooglePlay.
