Jet2 has issued a warning to passengers travelling to Spain today (Monday, February 27) that their flights could be “delayed” due to strike action. Air traffic control workers are walking out at several Spanish airports, including Alicante, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
The airline advises travellers to arrive at least two hours before their departure time. Passengers are urged to stay updated with the latest information on the airline’s website and on departure screens.
In a statement on their website Jet2 said: “We wanted to let you know that industrial strike action is taking place Monday 27th February, supported by the Air Traffic Service in Spain. This means that flights operating to Alicante, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote (Arrecife) may be delayed.

“If you're affected, rest assured we'll try to keep any disruption to a minimum. Please arrive at the airport at least two hours before your departure time. Check-in closes 40 minutes before a flight's scheduled departure time.
“For up-to-date information, please check this web page again, as well as the departure screens and listen out for any announcements. We'll have you on your way as soon as we can.”
Strike action is taking place at the following Spanish airports: A Coruña, Alicante, Castellon, El Hierro, Fuerteventura, Ibiza, Jerez de la Frontera, La Palma, Lanzarote, Lleida, Madrid-Cuatro Vientos, Murcia, Sabadell, Sevilla, Valencia and Vigo.

New film and TV production incentives were introduced in Austria last month, including Europe’s first “green” filming bonus. Meanwhile, in the U.K., statistics released in February revealed that investment into film and high-end television during 2022 reached a record height of £6.27 billion ($7.72 billion).
