Sharon Osbourne slammed James Corden on Celebrity Big Brother on Thursday, but his co-star and loyal friend Ruth Jones has fiercely defended the former Late Late Show host. Ruth, 57, once described the Gavin and Stacey star as “a very emotional guy”. James, 44, was once banned from New York restaurant Balthazar after being branded as an “abusive customer”.
He was also labelled as a “tiny cretin of a man” by the restaurateur. It was claimed the TV host yelled "like crazy” in his eatery. However, James later apologised for his behaviour.
At the time Ruth spoke out and admitted that her friend of over two decades just wears his heart on his sleeve. In an interview with The Sun, the writer revealed that he is a huge softie underneath and once left her shocked. People said that the TV host shouted "like crazy" in his restaurant.
But, James later apologised for he acted. Ruth, who has been friends with James for over twenty years, said that he just shows his feelings openly. In a chat with The Sun, she said that he is really kind and gentle underneath it all and he once surprised her.
In 2019, when they were making the BBC Christmas special for Gavin and Stacey, they had a lovely moment after they finished filming. James told her that he would be "lost" without her, reports the Express. She said that she was really surprised by what he said: "And he kept mumbling, and I said (loudly), 'What? ' and he said (loudly), 'I would be lost without you".
