Police have authorised a dispersal order in a Bolton neighbourhood this afternoon after reports of young people 'causing harassment and nuisance'.
Officers will be patrolling an area in Little Lever in an effort to 'target, identify, and take appropriate action' against individuals responsible, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. The order, which runs from 3pm on Friday (December 8) to midnight gives the force powers to order people to leave an area.
The order covers a section inside the A6503 Hall Lane, Victory Road, Dove Bank Road, Tong Road, and includes the edge of Moses Gate Country Park. GMP said 'extra officers' will be deployed around the area this evening.

“There has been several reports of anti-social behaviour in and around the Little Lever area, and we will always treat such reports with zero tolerance," he said in a statement.
“Members of the pubic have been reporting that groups of young people have been causing harassment and nuisance in the community. I believe that this order is necessary and proportionate to target, identify, and take appropriate action against those individuals responsible for this behaviour.”
The force said extra officers on patrol will be deployed around the area both on foot and in patrol cars.
