A distraught sister has paid tribute to her younger sibling who went to bed with period pains and never woke up. Amanda Barber, 41, was left devastated after her sister Anne-Marie, 39, mysteriously passed away at home in Warrington, Cheshire.
Anne-Marie, a mum-of-one, had complained of abdominal pains on August 18 and took painkillers before bed. When her partner went to check on her, he couldn’t wake Anne-Marie up, reported the Manchester Evening News.

She added: “He realised she wasn’t breathing and did all he could to administer CPR. He rang an ambulance and they came and took her to hospital. They worked on her for a bit but it was too late.”
Anne-Marie had suffered from endometriosis which sees the tissue similar to the lining of the womb and grow in places like the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Her family still don’t know how she died and are awaiting the results of her post-mortem.
Amanda said: “It was me and her all the time. She was my best friend; she was my soul sister. I’m still struggling. We went and had an appointment with a funeral director and I couldn’t even bare to look at the coffins.
“I’m her big sister. At 39, no one in her family should be looking at coffins. How can I sit there and pick a coffin for her?”
Anne-Marie’s endometritis worsened following the birth of her daughter. The pain often left her struggling to leave the house and impacted her mental health.
Amanda said: “When she was able to get out, she
