People have been left 'stunned' after discovering a button on their washing machine which helps to give the drawer a much better clean. A woman named Faith took to the Facebook group 'Cleaning tips and tricks' to share how she'd come across a little-known button that removes the drawer so you can get rid of the gunk easier.
The drawer, which is broken into compartments usually for detergent, softener and pre wash, usually gets a build up of dirt from the products you use - and it is often quite tricky to clean. Faith shared the hack in the group and admitted she didn't know the drawer could be removed completely by pressing the button - which is often blue.
After seeing how dirty the drawer was, she then cleaned it with warm water, washing up liquid and a toothbrush. Sharing her results, along with before and after photos of her drawer compartment, Faith said: "How on earth did I not know this drawer came out?!".

Many other group members were left open-mouthed as they also admitted they didn't know about the button, reports Yorkshire Live. Mandy commented: "They say you learn something everyday..... Well today I learned this thank you x." JJ asked: "Really this top section comes out???!".
Mary added: "Are you serious? I'm forever bashing my knuckles trying to clean the inside and your telling me this whole time I could have just simply pulled it out? Running off to try now."
