Kate Garraway has shared her heartbreaking fear when it comes to her husband Derek Draper and his continued health challenges. The Good Morning Britain presenter has recently opened up about a change in his condition, saying he'd developed a "weird choking" condition that's baffling doctors.
Kate has been helping care for Derek since early 2020 after he contracted coronavirus. The virus 'wreaked havoc' on the former Labour lobbyist's body. He spent just over a year in hospital and has needed round-the-clock care ever since he returned home in April 2021.

Another of Derek's struggles comes from his lungs as he can't breathe in oxygen nor breathe out carbon dioxide efficiently, meaning his body is "slightly poisoned all the time".

Eventually he "sort of vomited" as the relieved carers knew they'd just had a "really near miss".
In a new interview, following the release of her second book, the Strength of Love, Kate said
