Jamie Carragher has reignited his feud with Rio Ferdinand by calling his ex-England teammate a "poor man's Virgil van Dijk".

He was watching highlights of Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Luton on Wednesday night while working on CBS's Champions League coverage. His workmate Micah Richards posted a video on Instagram where he asked Carragher what he thought of Van Dijk's goal that made the score even.

"You don't need to analyse that," Carragher said. "Look at the colossus, look at him, look at him! A marvel of modern science. He is the best centre-back the Premier League has ever seen, by a mile."
Richards then asked how Van Dijk compared to others, including Ferdinand, John Terry, Sol Campbell and Tony Adams. "JT could play alongside him, I would allow that," Carragher replied, before saying that Ferdinand was a "poor man's Van Dijk".
Ferdinand is likely to notice this comment, as he has used his YouTube show in the past to respond to Carragher. Their argument got more heated last summer when everyone was talking about the expansion of the Saudi Pro League.
