For the first time since 2018, a whole new host of celebrities are set to swap their day-to-day lives for the Celebrity Big Brother house. Kickstarting on Monday, 4 March, famous faces including Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Fern Britton have all reportedly signed up for the show. Among those stars allegedly set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house is Bradley Riches.
The 22 year old actor, perhaps best known for his appearance in Netflix’s Heartstopper, where he played James McEwan.
While viewers of the show may recognise him from the series, Bradley has also racked up appearances on stage in musicals such as Footloose, Kin the Musical and A Christmas Story: The Musical. Last year, the TV personality became a published author with the release of his book “A” Different Kind of Superpower. Having been diagnosed with autism when he was nine years old, the book, which was written with James A Lyons, seeks to reframe neurodivergence as being a superpower.
“Everyone is different, so I really wanted to expand on my story so that as many people as possible could find themselves in some part of the character journey,” he told Vogue in 2023. “I actually wrote it originally as a play, which I hope one day we can actually stage.” Meanwhile, in 2022, the Netflix star opened up to Metro about his pride at showing autistic people that “they aren’t invisible”. He said: “Acting is an escapism for me.
