David Potts has been announced as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2024. It was revealed that he'd received the most amount of public votes during the live final on Friday, 22 March. David, 30, beat Nikita Kuzmin, 26, and Colson Smith, 25, who came in second and third place respectively.
Louis Walsh came in fourth place, while Fern Britton was in fifth place. He was left stunned as hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best went live to the house for the final time and revealed he'd won the ITV series. Each finalist was interviewed by AJ and Will upon exiting the iconic house.
However, the winner will be interviewed live on spin-off show Late & Live. Coronation Street favourite Colson, who came in third place, said he was "absolutely buzzing" to have come in third place, joking that it marked the "first time" he'd made it to a podium "in his life". He said “it has been an honour to be in the house”.
The actor's mum and pals were in the crowd supporting him as he exited the house.
Colson was also joined by his girlfriend Taylor. Former X Factor judge Louis, 41, left the ITV reality show to song Keep On Movin’ by boy band Five. He told AJ and Will: “I am so glad to be out”.
He added: "We had a brilliant time, but it’s scary – the best show in town. I nearly wanted to go a few times, it really is tough at night times, the three boys behind are all great.” Fern, 66, shared a similar statement to Louis upon exiting the house.
The TV star, who walked out to the song Let’s Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez, described the experience as “just marvellous”. “It has been a fantastic ride and I’m so happy to be out,” she told AJ and Will.
