Holly Willoughby returned to This Morning on Friday after a lengthy summer break to discuss her upcoming TV cameo in Sunday's Midsomer Murders. The TV presenter, 42, made her brief comeback to This Morning - but this time starring in a show, rather than presenting - following a six-week break from the ITV daytime show last month for her annual summer holiday.
The brief return saw the TV star promote her upcoming appearance on the mystery series Midsomer Murders, with her episode set to hit screens this Sunday. During Friday's appearance, Holly joked about her "weighty script" and admitted that she fell over on set during the filming of her episode.
She said: "Well here I am, the day has finally arrived, dreams are coming true, you are witnessing the birth of an acting star..." In her dressing room, Holly added: "As you can see my script is very weighty because I have a really huge role to play in this. I'm actually playing myself, I think I can manage that.
"I have a couple of lines which I have been learning all night which are still going round and round in my head." She said: "I've just shot my first scene and total transparency, it was a scene I hadn't actually noticed was in my script as I was so focused on my three lines later that I didn't actually notice I had to say, 'excuse me'." Holly also made a minor blip during filming as she took a tumble. She said: "I made it to the very last minute then I fell over, who put that slope there?" Holly then complimented her performance, adding: "I think I absolutely nailed it hopefully I haven't peaked too soon but that was my best one yet.
