Susanna Reid appeared to agree with one of Good Morning Britain's latest iconic guests as they told her co-host Ed Balls to 'shut up' during their interview. The presenters were back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Tuesday (October 10) when they were joined live in the studio by actor John Cleese.
The Fawlty Towers star was speaking to Ed and Susanna about his GB News show and other projects but at one point John struggled to get a word in as Ed fired off different questions in a seemingly excitable moment at being able to chat to the Monty Python legend.
Talking about joining the GB News team, John said the news channel "made me the best offer anyone has ever made anyone in television". But Ed interrupted to quip that John was the only presenter joining the controversial TV channel rather than leaving at the moment.

As John tried to respond, Ed chimed in with his own comments before the TV and film star had finished responding to a question, and 83-year-old John hit back: "Will you shut up?"
The trio began to laugh, as Susanna agreed: "Well, um, yeah! You are asking a question and then talking over the answer." John then said he didn't know what questions Ed wanted him to answer. But Ed teased that it is "what us interviewers do" before adding: "You'll find out". However, the comedy star reminded him: "Yes I know, I've done quite a few."
