Firefighters continue to battle an inferno that is ripping its way through a derelict Scots hotel 15 hours after flames took hold of the building.
Crews were scrambled to the Carnbooth House Hotel on Busby Road in Glasgow after receiving the alarm at 8.03pm on Thursday, August 17. Ten fire engines were originally sent to tackle the blaze at its peak.
Today, two appliances remain at the scene as firefighters work to contain the flames. Shocking images taken last night show the extent of the inferno as it gripped the once-popular wedding venue.
The footage shows aggressive flames blasting through the roof of the building as dark pockets of smoke billow into the sky. Police Scotland confirmed a joint investigation with the Scottish Fire Service (SFRS) into the circumstances surrounding the blaze will be carried out in due course.
Meanwhile, the Carmunnock bypass between Busby Road and Carmunnock Road has reopened. There are no reported casualties.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.03pm on Thursday, 17 August to reports of a derelict building on fire Busby Road, Carmunnock, Glasgow. Operations Control mobilised a total of ten appliances at the height of the fire to the scene.
"As of Friday, 18 August at 12.06pm, there are two fire appliances at the scene, where firefighters are continuing to extinguish the fire. There are no reported casualties."
