A pensioner has died in a Scots town after she took unwell earlier today.
The incident happened at around 2pm today, Wednesday, August 30, on Old Sneddon Street in Paisley.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene but the 73-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead, Glasgow Live reports.
One lane of traffic was closed by cops and the area was cordoned off, with a blue tent being placed around the scene.
Police have informed the woman's next of kin and said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2pm on Wednesday, August 30, police in Paisley were called to Old Sneddon Street, near the junction with Smithhills Street, following reports of a woman taking unwell.
“Emergency services attended and a 73-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and next of kin are aware.”
