Luke Littler has taken the darts world by storm over recent weeks, having made history as the youngest player to make it all the way to PDC World Darts Championship. The 16 year old unfortunately lost out in the final at Alexandra Palace on 3 January to Luke Humphries, but his darts ability has still stunned fans - along with his very young age.
A clip of Luke, who is dating 21 year old darts player Eloise Milburn, walking out for his first round match against Christian Kist at Ally Pally went viral at the start of 2024, with fans shocked to learn he is only 16 years old, as he undeniably looks much older. As Luke's profile continued to grow throughout the recent championship, suspicions concerning his age arose with some questioning if he is actually a teenager.
Former Soccer AM host Andy Goldstein admitted he had even made a bet about the darts ace's 'real age' with a colleague, as he struggled to believe he could be only 16 years old. Andy, 50, interviewed Luke on his Talksport radio show, with the pair discussing the bet and the prodigy's age.
"You’ve had a bet?," Luke asked Andy, before cheekily adding: "You’ve lost your money there because I’m 16.” To further back up Luke's age, a copy of the darts player's birth certificate has allegedly been leaked online.
TalkTV published a photo of the official document alongside the caption: "Proof he really is a wonderkid." The certificate shows Luke was born in North Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust Warrington on 21 January, 2007, making him nearly 17 years old.
The 16 year old has broken several records throughout his darts career so far. He is the youngest player to have won a match in the WDF World Darts Championship and PDC World Darts Championship.
