Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who plays Nicky Wheatley, has a fascinating life off-screen.
Two years after leaving the cobbles, she's back in Weatherfield, helping Daniel Osbourne, played by Rob Mallard, solve the mystery of Lauren Bolton's disappearance. Nicky, a former sex worker now working in community outreach, is using her knowledge of the sex industry to help Daniel, as Lauren was known to have followed Ryan Connor on O-Vidz before she vanished.
Despite Nicky's best efforts, suspicion still falls on Daniel. Away from the drama of the ITV soap, Kimberly leads a peaceful life running her own reupholstering business.
The 37 year old actress first appeared on Coronation Street in June 2020, when Daniel was struggling with the loss of his wife Sinead.
Kimberly made her first exit just four months later, only reappearing in 2022 as her character tried to stick to the straight and narrow - but her past quickly caught up with her when a jealous Daisy Midgeley exposed her sex worker past. And while she has reprised her role in 2024, the number of episodes she's due to appear in remains unconfirmed.
After bowing out of the soap a second time, Kimberly focused on other projects and wowed her fans on Instagram when she announced she'd taken on a new career in October 2023.
The actress shared a selfie where she can be seen holding up a key, reports the Mirror. A proud Kimberly wrote the caption: "Today I got the keys to my new office for Hart-Work.
The space is going to allow me to do so much more reupholstering and content.
