ITV's Coronation Street may have just dropped a major hint about Max Turner's (Paddy Bever) connection to the mysterious disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), amid growing concerns that she might have been killed. Lauren vanished in February and her whereabouts remain unknown.
The discovery of blood and human tissue in her flat, along with a potential murder weapon, led the police to treat her case as a murder investigation.
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) became a prime suspect in Lauren’s disappearance due to their relationship as him being her tutor. However, fan-favourite Roy Cropper (David Neilson) has been accused and jailed for her murder, with his family members desperately trying to uncover the truth to secure his release.
But Roy himself could be the one to reveal who was involved in Lauren's disappearance, following a sudden recollection. Roy seemed to recall an event from around the time Lauren went missing, but the memory was hazy and the sound was distorted.
As he tried to piece together what he had witnessed, he remembered a moment between Lauren and her friend Max at the café. In this memory, Max is seen conversing with Lauren, but Roy struggles to make sense of it all.
However, Roy's expression suggested that he might have figured out something significant, or at least someone, with the camera focusing on Max.
This scene hinted that Max might be hiding something, or at least that's what Roy seems to believe. So, does this imply that Max is more involved than we initially thought, or could he possibly know the truth about what happened to Lauren and where she might be? Max was seen asking Lauren, "Is everything alright?" to which she replied that there was nothing amiss, both of them sharing a smile
