Coronation Street fans say soap will 'owe them' as they spot another new romance that 'makes sense'

Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a new romance and have decided it needs to happen as it just 'makes sense'. Fans of the ITV soap were informed back in March that DS Lisa Swain will be sticking around Weatherfield, even if she does crack the case of Lauren Bolton's disappearance.
The character, played by Vicky Myers, was first seen in 2021 when she led the police investigation into the assaults on Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin which led to the latter's death.
More recently viewers of the ITV soap have seen Swain face backlash from Daisy Midgeley after the police didn't stop her stalker Justin Rutherford before he launched a horrific acid attack on her wedding day and was also seen hunting down serial killer Stephen Reid back in October, only for him to be ploughed into and killed on the street by Peter Barlow.

But now, DS Swain is currently back at the forefront of the long-running show after she arrested and charged Roy Cropper with the murder of the teen who has been missing since February 23 with Vicky having now signed as one of Corrie's new regular cast members.
During Monday night's (April 29) episode of Corrie, there was more concert for a stressed Roy as he was found collapsed in his cell as he desperately tried to figure out the reason for his visions of an exchange in the cafe between Lauren and Max Turner.
