Coronation Street might be saying goodbye to a character who's been on the show for 47 years, as she plans a new life away from the cobbles. Fans of the soap will remember that not long ago, Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford, found out that her love interest Tommy Orpington, played by Matt Milburn, was moving to Spain for a new job as a football coach.
Tracy got this news from her upset ex-husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), who enjoyed telling her he was leaving the cobbles for sunny Spain. Earlier this year, Steve was left heartbroken when he found out that his wife Tracy had been secretly seeing Tommy after they met in the flower shop on Christmas Day.
Tracy's affair has left Steve, their daughter Amy, played by Elle Mulvaney, and Tracy's dad Ken Barlow, played by Bill Roache, all very upset.
In scenes coming up, Tracy might be leaving the cobbles to join her new boyfriend in sunny Spain. In spoilers for next week, Steve finds a letter from Tommy inviting Tracy to move to Spain with him and hides it. Meanwhile, over lunch in the Bistro, Tracy tells Amy that she misses having a man in her life, reports the Mirror.
Later, Steve comes home and is surprised to find Tracy there. As he reaches for Tommy's letter in his pocket, he freezes when Tracy says she wants them to reunite.
Tracy tells Steve that Tommy was a silly mistake and promises she's back for good. Feeling like celebrating, Steve goes out to buy a bottle of wine but when he tells Dev Alahan he's back with Tracy, Dev is shocked and refuses to serve him.
Instead, Steve suggests they go to the pub. As Tracy heads to the Rovers, Steve quickly burns Tommy's letter, hoping to save their marriage. However, later in the week, it seems Tracy might find out about
