Two fan-favourites under suspicion for Lauren’s murder in Coronation Street spoilers

Coronation Street residents are left stunned when both Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard) and Roy Cropper (David Neilson) are questioned about Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance with one later arrested on suspicion of murder. With Lauren having mysteriously vanished, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), is on the case looking for the missing girl and fears for the worst when blood is found in the flat.
DS Swain’s suspicions about Daniel rise when Max Turner (Paddy Bever) reveals he believes Daniel to be Lauren’s secret boyfriend.Daniel is quizzed about his relationship with Lauren, with DS Swain suggesting that Lauren paid for her tutoring lessons with sex. Daniel’s horrified especially when his previous relationships with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) are brought up.
However, Daniel is partially relieved when Roy becomes the main suspect due to his kinship with Lauren. Carla Connor (Alison King) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) watch in horror as Roy is led away in handcuffs.
Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) heads to court to face punishment for his drink driving, but Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) refuses to go with him and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). Later, Nick and Leanne attend a wedding fayre but Nick remains uneasy about his engagement.
While at the hotel, Leanne meets a charming young man, Rowan (Emrhys Cooper), who is from ‘The Institute’ seminar - Leanne finds herself charmed by him. Also, Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) organises a lunch so that Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) and Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) can meet but Amy is adamant she won’t be swayed to like her mum’s new man.
