Britain's Got Talent fans were left demanding a 'missing' star return as the series' second episode aired on Sunday night (April 21). Millions tuned in to episode one which aired on Saturday night (April 20), officially kicking off the 2024 series.
According to ITV, the audience peaked with a massive 5.6 million viewers (5m Ave.) with a 39% share, making it the network's biggest overnight audience of the year so far since The FA Cup quarter-final match last month.
The first show of the double-bill weekend also saw unusual singers and astounding dogs take to the stage, to impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli while a singer and a South Korean martial arts troupe quick to be awarded the coveted golden buzzer.

The show then returned on Sunday night (April 21) for a double show weekend with Arbon, a danger act who balances using his hands and executes stunts involving fire and heights while Duncan Fletcher demonstrated a variety of stunts to the judges and Danny ZZZZ performed a trick that involves him attempting to escape from a box on fire.
And there were emotional scenes when an eight-year-old boy with a brain tumour along with his choir who also secured the coveted golden buzzer from a crying Alesha Dixon.
Ravi’s Dream Team, a choir of people ranging from ages five to 78, fronted by eight-year-old Ravi, were put straight through to the live shows when judge Alesha hit the special buzzer following the group's performance of A Million Dreams from the musical film The Greatest Showman.
