ITV Britain's Got Talent fans fume as semi-final act has hidden West End career

ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers have expressed their disappointment with a Golden Buzzer act who has gone straight to the semi-finals after discovering her previous West End career.
Fans took to Twitter as they fumed after learning singing act Sydnie Christmas has already had early success in the entertainment industry. Amanda Holden awarded the first Golden Buzzer of the 17th season on Saturday to the 28-year-old.
Sydnie, who currently works as a gym receptionist, put on a performance of 'Tomorrow' from the classic musical Annie. It impressed not only Amanda but fellow judges Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon.
The vibrant musician was thrilled to advance directly to the semi-finals. She opened up about her struggle to establish herself as a singer, admitting that she had often wondered if she had chosen the right career path.
"I was pinching myself. I thought this couldn't be real... this doesn't happen to people like me. I have wanted to do this forever. To be on stage, entertain, perform and sing... singing is my thing. I have been trying to make that happen my entire career", she said according to the Mirror.
However, despite her secured spot on the show, disgruntled ITV viewers have questioned her claims after delving into her social media presence. They discovered that the Kent native actually has a considerable amount of experience in the industry.
