Emmerdale actor Clive Hornby spent eight days in hospital after a filming accident left him with a collapsed lung.The actor, who was known for playing Jack Sugden in the long running ITV soap for 28 years, was filming a scene involving a tractor when things went wrong. Clive played the role from 1980 until his death in 2008, taking over from Andrew Burt who had portrayed the character from 1972 until 1976. Following the horror accident, he later recalled: "It's all right now but it made me realise that I never wanted to spend eight days again in a hospital.

Emmerdale's David Metcalfe actor Matthew Wolfenden has revealed that he has received numerous 'horrible messages' and 'nasty' encounters after splitting from his wife Charley Webb in September.The 43-year-old actor's split was announced via social media by Debbie Dingle actress Charley, 35, in November, as she shared: "It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake, we would appreciate privacy at this time," while Matthew shared an almost identical post.

The mechanic and resident bad boy inadvertently got dragged in to Mack and Aaron's car-jacking plot during what should have been just another day at the office. Kim Tate (Claire King)'s client, who coincidentally drove a fancy sports car, unfortunately suffered some car trouble in the village.

Emmerdale and Hollyoaks actress Georgina Hale has sadly passed away at the age of 80, after a career spanning 50 years.The star, who was also known for her work in Ken Russell's films, won a BAFTA for Most Promising Newcomer in 1974 for her performance in Mahler. Georgina passed away on January 4th, but the news has only just been shared. Later in her career, she received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for her role in the theatre production Steaming.
