Mojang has revealed the final feature set to be included in Minecraft’s upcoming 1.20 update – a cherry blossom biome.Minecraft’s 1.20 update was revealed last year and will be released at some point in 2023. Mojang has spent the past few days revealing what features the 1.20 update will entail including the sniffer which is, according to a press release, an “ancient mob” that was voted for by fans.Yesterday (February 14) Mojang unveiled that the final feature to be included in the big Minecraft update is the cherry blossom biome.“This beautiful biome is filled with cherry blossom trees that bring a unique look to the horizon as their crowns are big and flat, like fluffy pink clouds.

Mojang has revealed a first look at the sniffer, an “ancient mob” that’s being added to Minecraft in version 1.20.The Minecraft developer shared images of the sniffer in a blog post published yesterday (February 13), where it also outlined how players can get their hands on the mob.Sniffers will arrive in Minecraft as part of the game’s 1.20 update, which is planned to launch at some point in 2023. Players will first encounter them in egg form in suspicious sand, a new block type that will be used in the game’s upcoming archaeology feature.After helping it hatch, snifflets eventually grow into a sniffler, which is “not only huge, but helpful” for sniffing out unique seeds that can be planted for new decorative plants.Mojang has also shared a number of images of the sniffer exploring Minecraft‘s various biomes, which you can check out below.Though an exact release date for sniffers is yet to be confirmed, Mojang says they will be tested in Minecraft‘s creative mode snapshots before they arrive in the full game.Sniffers were the winner of 2022’s mob vote, in which players select a new creature to be added to Minecraft.

Sports Interactive has shared an update on the “multi-year project” of adding women’s football to the Football Manager series, though it won’t be ready in time for Football Manager 23.Speaking to NME, Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson OBE shared that progress on adding women’s football is going “alright,” and said that a more detailed update would be shared with a blog in the “next couple of weeks.”“On the research side, we’ve made some really big decisions recently to be able to kick that off properly, we’ve got a bunch of researchers around the world who are busy beavering away,” said Jacobson. “Animation-wise, we’re 90 per cent complete now with the motion capture animation that we’re looking at doing.

Overwatch 2 developer Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that any new heroes in the shooter will be available on the free track of the battle pass.Earlier in the month, Blizzard mistakenly revealed that heroes in Overwatch 2 will need to be unlocked through a battle pass. Each fighter has their own design, attack style and mechanics to familiarise yourself with, as well as building up a “meter” by hitting normal moves accurately to the beat of the song.

Capcom has revealed the details of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak‘s first major post-launch update, confirming an August 10 release date.During the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak digital event today (August 9), the publisher released the content trailer for the free Title Update 1.To start off, the update will bring four new monsters including the newly revealed Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian, who have both appeared in multiple Monster Hunter games in the past.There’s also Lucent Nargacuga, a rare species that first debuted in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate which can turn invisible, and the Seething Bazelgeuse which has explosive scales.
