A man has died after he suffered a suspected medical episode whilst behind the wheel of a Mercedes which then ploughed into a tree.

A woman has died after crashing at an Asda petrol station following a suspected medical episode at the wheel. The incident happened around 10.45am on Wednesday (March 22).
The woman, thought to be in her 70s, crashing at the Asda petrol station on Moston Lane in Harpurhey, north Manchester. Police say it is thought the woman suffered a medical episode while driving the Nissan Micra, before crashing through a small brick wall separating the forecourt from the pavement.
A section of stretch, near the junction with Rochdale Road, was closed for a number of hours while emergency services dealt with the incident. Paramedics and two air ambulances were seen.

The woman was tragically pronounced dead. No other injuries have been reported.
A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said: "A woman has died following a single-vehicle collision at a petrol station in Manchester. It is believed a woman, thought to be in her 70s, suffered a suspected medical episode while trying to drive the Nissan Micra off the forecourt of the Asda petrol station on Lee Road, Harpurhey, at around 10:45am today (22 March 2022).
"Paramedics and the helimed attended but the woman was sadly later pronounced dead."
GMP have issued an appeal for information. Anyone with information or on the forecourt at the time of the incident is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 1103-22/3/2023.
