Speaking about her dad, Samantha Petrou, Lance's daugther, said: "He was the best father ever. No one was better, I know everyone says that but he truly was. His funeral abroad was a beautiful send off.
"We buried him next to his mother as he said he wanted to be besides her and my mum. I miss him so much, it's unfair that life is like this but we have too keep moving forward.
"I just hope he is resting. It was so sudden, I just hope there wasn't any pain. I'm content with him being at peace.
"My mother is taking the loss the hardest however, she is also the strongest person I know and we have been there for each other."
Facia Petrou, Lance's wife spoke to the MEN: "I still hear his voice sometimes, but I know he's at peace. We are religous so I believe he's in heaven right now.
"I love and miss him and I can't wait for us to be reunited."
Lance leaves behind his wife and his only daughter.
