If you're a fan of McDonald's, then you're likely familiar with the several sauces they serve with each order. And now one woman has gone viral for her "genius" way of using the packets.
A TikTok user has garnered the attention of the internet after she shared a video discussing her regular order from the fast food giant. But it wasn't about what food she was having, instead it was her sauce pouring technique that turned heads.
While she talks, TikToker, @smashleybaldwin squeezes sour sauce onto her burger, rather than using the packet as a dip. While the clip initially had nothing to do with her technique, other social media users have made their own videos, calling it a "game-changer".
In the video, rather than peeling off the lid to the sauce to use it like a dip, she made a small hole in the corner of the small container so that it could be spread more precisely, like a bottle of sauce.
As reported by the Mirror, viewers were stunned by her trick, with some at a loss of how she could do it. One asked: "Wait, how did you open the sauce like that?"
While another added: "The way you opened the sauce is actually freaking smart." And a third wrote: "Why didn't I think about that sauce pack hack before? This is actually genius!"
The following day, the woman, who is from the US, returned to TikTok to respond to someone who accused her of "gatekeeping" the trick because she hadn't immediately responded to questions about how she did it.
In the second video, she explained that all she did was pierce a hole in the bottom of the sauce packet using a small knife that she keeps on her keychain.
And the woman's hack was praised by fellow TikTok user Ciaran Halpin (@halpojr), who said her trick was a "game changer".
