Christopher Donaldson was snared after cops swooped on his Edinburgh home with a warrant and seized two mobile phones.
The city’s sheriff court was given graphic descriptions of some of the sickening material collected by Donaldson.
The 34-year-old also distributed videos in his possession using Telegram messenger, sharing them with other depraved individuals on 90 occasions.
Donaldson appeared at the court on Tuesday and pled guilty to possession and distributing indecent photos of children.
Fiscal depute Ross Price said a phone belonging to vile Donaldson had been analysed and 114 videos at Category A - the worst level - were found.
Mr Price said these videos ran for a total of four hours and 56 minutes.
The court was told the clips mostly featured “male children” who ranged in age from less than one-year-old to 15.
One of the videos showed a baby being molested by an adult male.
Mr Price said 19 Category B videos and one still image were recovered which totalled 16 minutes 57 seconds in length and showed male and female children aged from less than one to 15 being abused.
The court was again given upsetting details on the content of one particular video.
Four videos at Category C were found on Donaldson’s phone, the court was told, showing children of the same ages.
The court was told a second phone belonging to Donaldson was found to contain one Category A video and another at Category B.
Mr Price said Donaldson, of the city’s Stenhouse area, had “shared” 89 videos and one still image with others.
Donaldson admitted carrying out his offending between September 10 and October 5 2021.
