Wilfried Zaha said it was a "dream come true" to score in the UEFA Champions League after helping Galatasaray beat Manchester United 3-2 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
The former United winger, who joined Galatasaray on a free transfer during the summer, scored his first European goal to help the Turkish giants secure a memorable victory. He netted their first equaliser of the game to cancel out Rasmus Hojlund's opening goal of the evening.
He shrugged off United right-back Diogo Dalot to latch onto a hopeful punt from centre-back Davinson Sanchez and then lifted the ball over Andre Onana. It arrived just as United were looking to build on Hojlund's opener.

Despite the Dane scoring again after the break to put United ahead for a second time, Galatasaray came roaring back, drawing level for a second time before Mauro Icardi, who missed a penalty after Casemiro was sent off, netted a winner with nine minutes of normal time left. It capped off a special evening for Zaha, who struggled to wipe the excitement off his face in his post-match media duties.
"Dreams come true, really," Zaha told TNT Sports. "I'm happy to be playing in this competition, and it's a good night for me.
"I just wanted a good enough ball for it to drop for me to hit it, really, and I was waiting and holding the defender off for a while, and I'm happy it went in.
