Plans for a new university building where 'generations' of healthcare workers will be trained have been unveiled. The University of Salford has published plans for its new Clinic building, promising to provide 'world-class' teaching and research facilities at the site.
The university also wants to offer health and wellbeing services to the public from the new hub which is expected to be built by the end of 2025. Working with the NHS and other partners, the university says it hopes the building can be used to help cut waiting lists.
The new hub planned at the Fredrick Road campus would be located behind the Mary Seacole building next to Salford Crescent station. The building will be part of the School of Health and Society, which is the largest at the University with over 8,400 students.
